Although the SF position in the East is home to some premier players, Gerald Wallace deserves a spot on the roster, either as a reserve or a wild card.
Here’s why Crash should be in the All Star game, by any means necessary.
His rebounding. The man is 1. averaging a double-double, 2. leading all SF in rebounding by a pretty huge margin, 3. is 8th in defensive rebound percentage.
His scoring. His PER of 18.9 is pretty decent, sure…but he’s playing better than notable SFs like Paul Pierce and Danny Granger.
His defense. He’s clearly one of the top dogs for defensive player of the year. He’s in the top 10 in blocks and steals, and leads the NBA in DRtg. Also, he is anchoring a top 3 defensive team in the league with the Bobcats.
His leadership. The Bobcats may actually have a shot to make the NBA playoffs with the tandem of Wallace and Stephen Jackson. The team plays stellar D, and is working on its offensive game.

Of course, they mad cuz u stylin on them. McGrady and Allen Iverson certainly dont belong on All-Star rosters…lets alleviate the problem a lil bit.
