Thinking XXX

Just watched the documentary “Thinking XXX”, behind-the-scenes look at photo shoots.  The subject:  30 porn stars.  The photographer:  Timothy Greenfield-Sanders.  Very thoughtful, respectful, funny at times, and makes you ponder.  What if your friend or family member works in the porn industry?  I am very sure that 90% of the population have watched porno.  I myself had a fair share, though compared to the movies I watch, porn amounts to 2%, I think.  I still remember the first Playgirl I bought at a liquor store on the way home from high school.  What a thrill that was!  And the men in Playgirl in the early 80s were very modest compared to what they have nowadays.  And I actually went to the adult movie theater to see a feature.  It started with the local news, saying that there was gonna be a protest to close down the place.  I went and so glad I did because the one I saw was quite good, with a decent story line, erotic more than hardcore.  I miss seeing good porn on the big screen.  Maybe someone somewhere will have the guts or the nuts, (or they’re just simply nuts) to make a porn feature.  In 3D.  Or 4D like they have at Universal Studios for Shrek show.  But really, check out “Thinking XXX” if you have an hour to kill.  There’s nudity, but this is very … academic.  And check out the photographer’s books.  Okay, back to my next documentary, “Porn Star:  The Legend of Ron Jeremy”, who’s Jewish, and unlike most porn stars, a multi-millionaire!
